    How This Was Measured
    • Vista Unified, 2025–26: 42,558 scored open answers from 6,041 students at 10 schools. The program comparison uses the 3,104 high school students.
    • Each answer was read against Vista’s Learner Portrait (Kind, Confident, Curious, Connected, Capable, Knowledgeable) and placed on one 800-point Skills Score.
    • Programs come from each student’s course schedule. A student in two programs counts in both. English learner support (64) and JROTC (75) are small groups.
    • This compares where students are. It does not claim what put them there.
